  • A copy of your HKID card, proof of payment and proof of academic/professional qualifications as specified in the joining criteria must accompany your enrolment otherwise your Enrolment cannot be completed.
  • Your Enrolment will be confirmed by email at least 1 week before the course starts. Once your enrolment is confirmed, course fees are not refundable.
  • HKIOS has full authority to reject any application for enrolment.
  • This online course must be completed within 8 days, inclusive of the course-end examination. The system will automatically track your time from the moment you start the course. Failing to complete the course within this set time will be considered as failing in the course.

Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This online course will focus on explaining the knowledge and skills of guarding services at QF Level 2. Completion of this course is pre-requisite for the Progressive Guarding course, the Guarding Supervision course and the Train-the-Trainer for Guarding Services course of HKIOS.

Joining Criteria

Participants should:
  • Have completed basic guarding training that meets the standards of UoC 107753L1, and
  • Be experienced in guarding operations of not less than 1 year, and
  • Be educated to Secondary 3 or above.

Assessment

Assessment will take place at course-end via:
  • A written examination in the form of multiple-choice questions

Award and Recognition

On successful completion, participants will:
  • Receive a “Certificate of Completion”
  • Holders of this Certificate are deemed to have achieved the knowledge and skills for performing guarding services equivalent to QF Level 2.

Learning Outcome 

At the end of this course, participants will:
  • Acquire a deeper understanding of the latest knowledge and skills of guarding services
  • Be able to complete assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Learn about how to handle emergencies and major incidents
