Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for in-service security personnel who are interested in pursuing the knowledge and skills for managing security services. 

Joining Criteria

Participants should:
  • Possess not less than 6 years of experience in Security Services, of which at least 3 years are in security supervision or above level, or
  • Have completed training or achieved the knowledge and skills equivalent to QF Level 3 for Security Services (e.g. RPL), and
  • Be educated to Secondary 3 or above

Assessment

Assessment will take place throughout the course, via:
  • Class discussions
  • Practical Exercises
  • Course-end Examination

Award and Recognition

On successful completion, participants will:
  • Receive a “Certificate of Completion”
  • Be awarded a “Certificate in Security Management” upon achieving this plus 3 other specified courses
  • Be recognised by IPSA HK as meeting related qualification criterion for advancement in their Membership Structure

Learning Outcome 

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity reasonably expected of a security manager.
  • Possess a body of knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations relevant to security operations in Hong Kong.
  • Research and gather information from relevant legal sources, analyse problems and make informed decisions.
