Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for newly appointed security operations managers of security guarding companies and in-service security personnel who are interested in acquiring relevant knowledge and skills in security operations management.

Joining Criteria

Participants should:

  • Possess not less than 6 years of experience in Security Guarding Services, of which at least 3 years are in supervisory or above level, and
  • Have completed training or achieved the knowledge and skills equivalent to QF Level 3 for Security Guarding Services (e.g. RPL), and
  • Be educated to Secondary 5 or above

Assessment

Assessment will take place at course-end via:
  • Class discussions
  • Practical exercises
  • Post-course Assignments

Award and Recognition

Participants who meet the following criteria will be awarded a “Certificate of Completion”:

  • Complete 100% of all specified course activities; and
  • Attain 70% attendance of in-person classes; and
  • Achieve an average of 60% or above in assessments.

Learning Outcome 

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the broader context of security management, budget management, and team leadership; and
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring operations are both effective and legally compliant; and
  • Understand the duty of care and how to conduct professional investigations and reporting; and
  • Possess the skills required to manage the day-to-day guarding operations, including developing and implementing security policies, handling complex human resources issues, and responding to emergencies.
