  • A copy of your HKID card, proof of payment and proof of academic/professional qualifications as specified in the joining criteria must accompany your enrolment otherwise your Enrolment cannot be completed.

Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for personnel engaged in security or related services who are interested in pursuing the knowledge and skills for guarding supervision.

Joining Criteria

Participants should:
  • Have completed HKIOS’s “Certificate in Progressive Guarding (L2)” course; and
  • Be experienced in guarding or related services of not less than 2 years; and
  • Be educated to at least Secondary 3 or equivalent.

Assessment

Assessment will take place during the in-person classes and practical exercises session via:

  • Scenario-based exercises; and
  • A written examination in the form of short questions.

Certification

Participants who meet the following criteria will be awarded a “Certificate of Completion”.

  • Complete 100% specified course activities; and
  • Attain 100% attendance in In-person Classes and Practical Exercises; and
  • Achieve 60% or above in the examination; and
  • Achieve 60% or above in the scenario-based exercises.

Learning Outcome 

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Supervise a team of guards to effectively perform guarding duties.
  • Actively engage in managing risk and preventing incidents and crime.
  • Take decisive command during incidents.
  • Comply with the law and perform security supervisory duties in compliance with rules and regulations.
