Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for in-service security personnel who are interested in pursuing the knowledge and skills for guarding supervision.

Joining Criteria

Participants should:
  • Have completed training or achieved the knowledge and skills at QF L2 of guarding services (e.g. RPL)
  • Be experienced in guarding work of not less than 2 years
  • Be educated to Secondary 3 or above

Assessment

Assessment will take place throughout the course via:
  • Practical exercises
  • Scenario-based exercises
  • Assignments
  • A written examination in the form of multiple-choice and short questions at course-end

Award and Recognition

  • On successful completion, participants will receive a “Certificate of Completion”.
  • Holders of this Certificate are deemed to have achieved the knowledge and skills equivalent to QF Level 3 for Guarding Services.

Learning Outcome 

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a guarding supervisor
  • Understand the laws and regulations related to guarding supervision
  • Understand the concepts and techniques for guarding supervision
  • Develop and implement plans for guarding tasks according to laid-down policies and procedures
  • Supervise a team of guards to effectively perform guarding operations
