  • Anti-Epidemic Measures: 
    1. Course participants are required to conduct a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) with a negative result within 24 hours prior to attending a class.
    2. Course participants must wear a mask at all times at the training venue.
    3. Course participants are not allowed to eat at the training venue.
    4. Course participants should bring their own drinks and writing materials.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • A copy of your HKID card, proof of payment and proof of academic/professional qualifications as specified in the joining criteria must accompany your enrolment otherwise your Enrolment cannot be completed.
  • Your Enrolment will be confirmed by email at least 1 week before the course starts. Once your enrolment is confirmed, course fees are not refundable.
  • HKIOS has full authority to reject any application for enrolment.

Course Information

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for in-service security personnel who are interested in becoming a Qualified Security Trainer for Guarding Services. 

Pre-requisite

Participants should have successfully completed the Guarding Operation (Online) course of HKIOS (HKIOS-GS-GO-OL) and passed the course-end examination before attending this Train-the-Trainer course.

Joining Criteria

Participants should:
  • Possess not less than 5 years of experience in Guard Supervision, and
  • Have completed training or achieved knowledge and skills equivalent to QF Level 3 for Guarding Services (e.g. RPL), and
  • Be educated to Secondary 5 or above

Assessment

Assessment will take place throughout the course via:
  • Written Tests using scenario-based questions
  • Presentations
  • Practical Exercises
  • Assignments
  • Course-end Integrated Assessment

Award and Recognition

On successful completion, participants will:
  • Receive a “Certificate of Completion”
  • Are deemed to have achieved the knowledge and skills equivalent to QF Level 4 for training security personnel to perform guarding services
  • Will be recognised by HKIOS and IPSA HK as Qualified Security Trainers for guarding services courses at QF Level 1, 2 & 3
